MN Azure User Group

Next Event: Thursday, May 4, 4:00 PM CT

about this group

The Minnesota Azure User Group is on temporary hiatus from our physical location, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Our events have moved to Microsoft Teams until it is safe to return to gathering in person.

At present, the board feels that members have lots of opportunity for online webcast events. We feel the true value of a local user group is the in-person peer-to-peer "networking" and information exchange. Which is simply not safe at the current time.

Code of Conduct

Overview

The MN Azure User Group “User Group” requires all members conduct themselves according to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and behavior when dealing with our members, speakers, sponsors, board members, and those involved with the MN Azure User Group. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, full compliance with all legal obligations imposed by statute or any other source of law.

This Code establishes the standards of behavior that must be met by all members. Where these standards are not met, appropriate action will be taken. In cases where the breach involves serious misconduct, this may result in banning members from future events. In cases where a breach of the policy involves a breach of any law, then the relevant government authorities or the police may be notified.

Operation

The purpose of this policy is to make it clear what the User Group expects from members, and members are required to be familiar with and comply with the terms of this policy. Failure to do so may result in banning members from future events.

In so far as this policy imposes any obligations on the User Group, those obligations are not contractual and do not give rise to any contractual rights. To the extent that this policy describes benefits and entitlements for members, they are discretionary in nature and are also not intended to be contractual. They set the terms and conditions of employment that are intended to be contractual out in an employee's written employment contract.

The User Group may unilaterally introduce, vary, remove or replace this policy at any time.

Standards of Conduct

The standards expected of members include:

  • Compliance with all state, local, and federal laws
  • Compliance with all reasonable and lawful instructions given by or on behalf of the User Group
  • To be honest and fair in dealings with other members, speakers, sponsors, board members, and the general public, and to treat them with courtesy and respect
  • Be respectful of speakers, sponsors and other presenters online or in-person, including (but not limited to) silencing personal devices, keep microphones on mute unless speaking and stepping out of the room for phone calls or discussions

  • Treat everyone with respect, do not discriminate on the basis of personal characteristics including (but not limited to) sex, race, disability, pregnancy, age, marital status or sexual orientation
